INTRODUCTION

Being diagnosed with prostate cancer can be a life-altering experience. It requires making some very difficult decisions about treatments that can affect not only the life of the man diagnosed, but also the lives of his family members in significant ways for many years to come.

To help men and women know where to begin, the Prostate Cancer Foundation has written An Introduction to Prostate Cancer and put together a kit which features Conversation Tips, a series of pointers and questions that can be used to start a conversation about prostate cancer. In addition, the Kit includes a list of FAQs About Prostate Cancer, and other materials designed to help both men and women learn about prostate cancer.

MY EMBARRASSING MOMENT

It was about the end of school year 2008-2009 when the SSG officers of MFNHS headed by Ms.Jane Layza Domingo, the president, conducted a Meeting De Avance for the next set of SSG officers for the next school which is this year. And I run for thr secretary position under the SHARP party.i was very nervous and excited at that moment. At first it was like that were giving our speeches. In the long run, question given by the press became personal and complicated.I never expected that my co-candidates for that certain position reveal the lapses she had seen within me.It was not really true. And that accusation is really a big deal to me.it deeply touches my heart.Imagine in front of the crowd you will be criticized and called ¨great cheater¨who cheats all the items of the test from number 1 up to the last items of the test.Oh my...?how dare she is to do such thing..? So because of that,my temper came to its end.I cried out of the crowd and explained to them that I´m innocent for such accusation.and that ended up this way then the teacher requested to end up that argument of ours.

SENTENCE OUTLINE

PROSTATE CANCER

I.Definition

Several types of cells are found in the prostate, but over 99% of prostate cancers develop from the gland cells. Gland cells make the prostate fluid that is added to the semen. The medical term for a cancer that starts in gland cells is adenocarcinoma.

A.Staging
if the biopsy finds cancer, more tests may be done to see whether the cancer has spread and if so, how far. This process is called staging. Staging is very important because your treatment and the outlook for your recovery depend on the stage of your cancer.

1.1.Survival rates

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) keeps a database of survival statistics for different types of cancer. This database does not group prostate cancers by AJCC stage, but instead groups cancers into local, regional, and distant stages.

5-year relative survival by stage at the time the cancer is found

  • local 100%
  • regional 100%
  • distant 31%

1.2.surgery

Good candidates for surgery to treat prostate cancer have one or more of the following characteristics:
